Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping
Grassfields Food & Spirits is a local favorite in Andover. The restaurant, which specializes in steak and seafood, upholds its stellar reputation with generous portions and hospitable waitstaff. With reasonable prices and craft beer on the menu, it’s no wonder Grassfields has thrived throughout its 20-odd years of existence.
CRACK'D Kitchen & Coffee is an enjoyable spot for a hot breakfast and equally hot beverage. Get your morning started here when it opens at 7 am during the week or 7:30 am on the weekends. You can also visit through the early afternoon for lunch. They serve sandwiches and smoothies.
Somebody's Place is also a favorite breakfast establishment. Open from 7 am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday, you can get your coffee hot or cold and complete your order with pancakes, eggs, or a croissant. Various sandwiches also fill their lunch menu, along with salads or a big chicken bomb, where grilled chicken is topped with an abundance of melted cheese, peppers, mushrooms, and onions.
Things to Do
Become a member of Andover Country Club and gain access to all it provides. The gorgeous grounds offer 18 holes for golf. There is also a practice range, members-only grill room, provided pool, Links Restaurant and Lounge, and intimate wine cellar. This is a common site for weddings.
The Charles W. Ward Reservation is a prominent hiking area. There are many beautiful sights and one, two, and five-mile loops. Your dog can visit with you as long as they are on a leash.
Discover tried-and-true collections and rotating exhibits at the Addison Gallery of American Art. This well-rated venue displays pieces from the 18th century and contemporary designs. Modern Masters Arts Boston is also in town. This gallery allows you to work with a trusted advisor to find the perfect piece to add to your collection. Exhibits also rotate out to make way for new ones.
